EFT Tutorial and Guide
THE TARKOV CENTRAL

Tagged and Cursed
If you enter a raid (whether in Practice Mode or not) without at least a weapon and either a rig or a backpack, you’ll be “tagged and cursed.”
In this state, all Scavs within a radius of approximately 150 meters will know your location and actively pursue you.
This feature prevents players from entering maps unequipped, which would otherwise carry no risk and no reward for other players killing them (The only and true risk-free option is to play as a SCAV instead of your PMC).
However, you can also enable “Tagged and Cursed” manually in the Practice Mode settings.
Raiding in Practice Mode with Tagged and Cursed enabled in a small map like Factory is a fantastic way to improve your aim against multiple targets and to practice combat under pressure. If you don’t eliminate AI enemies quickly, you’ll get overwhelmed.
Training to survive under pressure is crucial in EFT, as it will happen frequently in raids, and it’s easy to make mistakes in tense situations.
TIP: Many EFT players practice in Factory with Tagged and Cursed mode on, setting the AI quantity to “horde” and the difficulty to “easy” to have plenty of targets without getting killed too quickly.
TIP 2: Equipping gear in raid will remove the state (unless it's an offline raid, and you enabled the "Tagged and cursed" status manually).
