EFT Tutorial and Guide
THE TARKOV CENTRAL

Primary Objective: Survive
Always remember that, with rare exceptions, the main goal of every raid is survival.
So choose your actions carefully.
If you spot an enemy, consider whether it’s truly worth engaging—are you in a position of advantage, and are you ready?
If you’re not well-positioned, if the enemy isn’t alone, or if you’re already injured or low on ammo, avoiding or escaping from a fight is never a bad choice.
As I’ve said, honour matters little in Escape from Tarkov.
What counts is survival and making it out alive.
Surviving means you get to keep the loot you’ve collected and the gear you have equipped, earn more experience points, and complete missions that require you to survive the raid.
Dying can mean losing everything you’re carrying, as well as the time spent completing a mission and everything you’ve done in that raid.
Of course, if you’ve completed a mission that doesn’t require you to survive, and you don’t have valuable loot or irreplaceable gear, you might decide to go full Rambo and dive into some PvP action—for the thrill, the fun and practice.
