Looting

As you learn the map and improve in combat, you’ll start finding loot to collect. Besides what you’ll find on the bodies of enemies you’ve defeated, each map has scattered loot that you’ll find on the ground, placed on furniture and surfaces, and inside containers you’ll need to open to access.

Initially, you may not find much loot around. This is because, in addition to not always being easy to spot (especially if you don’t know what it looks like), loot doesn’t appear everywhere. At the start of each raid, EFT determines what loot is present on the map and where.

You’ll need to learn which rooms and locations tend to have loot more frequently. While the potential loot spots are consistent, the presence of loot, the types of containers, their positions, and their contents vary from raid to raid.

To get this knowledge, other than experience, you can watch EFT streamers play or the loot guides or map guides they often make, where you can see their loot runs, what they prioritize, etc.

I also highly suggest to take a look and study the interactive maps you can find on the EFT wiki.

Note:  Patch 0.16 introduced a pretty big change by introducing the rule by which now to upgrade your hideout you need FIR (Found In Raid) items. Read the article I wrote about this for info, tips and a greatly useful videos made by Pestily and Gigabeef on where to find the loot you need!
