EFT Tutorial and Guide
THE TARKOV CENTRAL

The First Step: Practice Mode
As mentioned in the introduction, Escape from Tarkov, unlike other games, doesn’t have a tutorial mode or beginner missions to guide players through the learning phase. From your very first raid, you’ll face the brutal (virtual) reality of Tarkov, which will relentlessly try to take you down.
And it will. And you’ll risk losing all your gear and money before you even have the chance to gain more.
That’s why I strongly suggest that you start by training in Practice Mode.
Practice Mode allows you to run test raids where, even if you die, you won’t lose any of the gear you bring with you. Additionally, any ammunition, medical supplies, or other consumables you use will be restored once you exit the Practice Mode raid.
In essence, once you leave the raid, your character resets to its pre-raid condition, as if nothing had happened.
Similarly, any experience gained, missions completed, or loot gathered won’t be saved or recorded in Practice Mode.
While this might seem like a waste of time, losing all your starting gear would cost you far more time to recover from the setback.
