EFT Tutorial and Guide
THE TARKOV CENTRAL

Don’t be afraid to run
Another fundamental rule: if an enemy spots you first and starts shooting (whether AI or player), your initial reaction should never be to turn toward the shots and try to fire back. Instead, your first move should be to sprint as fast as possible to the nearest cover. From there, you can decide whether to return fire, reposition, or retreat.
If you stop, turn, and try to figure out where the shots are coming from—especially if you take the time to return fire—you’ll become a stationary and exposed target.
The enemy spotted you first and already has you in their sights, so your best option is to break their line of sight and then execute an unexpected strategy to counter their advantage.
Moreover, if you realize the situation is too risky, and you have an option to disengage and escape, there is no shame, do it!
EFT is about survival, not an honorable duel where fleeing is shameful. Save your skin!
