EFT is a hardcore game—pretty ruthless for newcomers, with a steep learning curve due to its difficulty and the wealth of information to absorb. There’s no in-game tutorial or guide, but fortunately, there are many online resources, including The Tarkov Central, that help you understand the game and gather essential data.

It’s important to have the patience to study the basic information and grasp a few mechanics before diving into raids using the money, weapons, and gear you start with.

Remember, in EFT, when you die, you lose everything you're carrying.

It's true that you have your trusted Secure Container and the option to insure your gear, but insurance comes at a cost. Without a basic understanding of the game before your first raids, it's easy to quickly run out of both money and gear.
